Introducing Cruzy Campers....

We are a family team, Mum (Kylie), Dad (Dan) with 5 growing kids (now a bonus grandson) that each contribute to our Cruzy way of life. We are a proud Kiwi owned family business based in Otautahi - Christchurch.

We love what we do!

Our journey with Cruzy Campers began just over 25 years ago where the workshop Dan was working in began servicing the fleet. Dan was working as a specialised VW mechanic and originally Cruzy began as a fleet of  Kombi Cruzy Camper vans! Over time Dan eventually bought the workshop. He continued to carry out the servicing for Cruzy and watched it grow and develop into a fleet of  30 trusty Toyota Hiace camper vans!

Like many Cantabrian's, the Christchurch earthquakes shook things up for us. We wanted to spend more time sharing adventures with our children (that are still growing way too fast!). When the previous owners decided to retire to a life of full time camping and Cruzy came up for sale it was a no brainier! It was time to ditch the 9 - 5 and begin a new life with the kids!

With Dans intimate knowledge of this fleet and Kylie's passion for Aotearoa we knew we could have a lot of fun and create some amazing adventures and memories for the whole family!

We have been operating Cruzy since 2014 and each season we have enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people from all over the world and have been lucky enough to create some lifelong friendships along the way. 

Now the kids are older, the best way to travel is in convoy!

We are best known for the exceptional personal service we provide for our clients! This is what keeps so many people returning year after year to explore new pockets of our breathtakingly beautiful Aotearoa with our Cruzy Campers.

Each of one us has role in the business. This makes it easy to ensure we are personally available if our clients should need they a hand along the way. Also, because we know our vans so well ,it is easy to ensure our clients feel comfortable and safe while travelling with our Cruzy's.
